Ladakh - the land of mountains and high passes

Ladakh, which literally means “The land of high passes”, is in the north of India. It is a high altitude desert complete  with double humpback camel, the culture is mainly Buddhist, ancient monasteries dot the landscape. And wherever you go you are enveloped by the friendliness of the locals and their resilience to live in this remote part of the world.
