I am humbled, honoured & thrilled to announce that my images won me coveted title of “Photographer of the Year” for the second consecutive year
The PPOC – BC Salon is an annual image competition held by the BC branch of the Professional Photographers of Canada. The judging is anonymous and done by 5 qualified judges who score the images to give it one of four scores – not accepted, accepted, merit and excellence.
Images are submitted under different classes & judges also select an image they feel is the best in each class.
Finally based on the best image submissions in two or more categories, they select one photographer who is awarded the title of “Photographer of the Year”
This image titled “Bengal Beauty” photographed in central India and submitted for the salon under the “Animals Class” received a unanimous score of excellence by 5 judges. Subsequently it was also selected as the “Best Image” in its class
“A Walk to Remember” photographed in Ladakh, India, also received a score of excellence in the PPOC-BC Image Salon 2024 and was later selected as the “Best of Class” under editorial
“Dancing Up a Storm” was submitted under the “Fine Art” class and also brought home an award of excellence plus received the Kent Wong Judges award and the Cindy Haines Judges award, where Kent Wong was the Jury chair and Cindy Haines was one of the judges
This image photographed in BC received an award of merit and was also selected as the Best in Class image in Architecture
